As she's struggling with finding a reason to live, Poppo finds comfort in talking with Tsukio. A boy in her age, an observer, a unsuccessful poet, someone who has sexual traumas of his own. On the rooftop where she gets raped, twice, a friendship grows between Poppo and the boy.
A friendship that will have violent consecvences. It's told in a way that makes it both beautiful and ugly, sensitive and raw, or heartless even at times. The main characters are disengaged yet filled with emotions.
